Hanoi Rocks Guitarist Says Vince Neil Runs Away From Him Due To Guilt
Hanoi Rocks lead guitarist Andy McCoy recently appeared as a guest on Artists On Record hosted by Stefan Adika and stated that Vince Neil runs away from him since he knows he is guilty.
As well as their fantastic music career, Mötley Crüe members are famous for some crazy moments and unfortunate incidents that they’ve gone through since the beginning of their musical journey. One of the most notable is the tragic car accident with Vince Neil at the wheel. As the story goes, the two bands, Hanoi Rocks and Mötley Crüe were drinking heavily at a party given for Rocks’ first US tour.
Then, Vince Neil and Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas ‘Razzle’ Dingley decided to go to a local liquor store to get more alcohol. Yet, Neil, who was already drunk, lost control of the vehicle and smashed into another car. While all involved were seriously injured, Razzle instantly passed away in the collision, although he was rushed to the hospital. Neil was only sentenced to 30 days but released after serving 15 days in jail for good behavior.
The members of Hanoi Rocks repeatedly discussed the incident in the following years by targeting Vince Neil. During his recent interview, Andy McCoy revealed that Neil never apologized to him for what he did in the past. Although McCoy didn’t explicitly give Neil’s name, it was pretty clear that he referred to him due to the tragic accident. The guitarist also explained that the singer runs away whenever they run into each other in some place since he knows he is guilty. Yet, they will keep seeing each other in the same industry.
Andy McCoy’s statements on Vince Neil:
“I’ve never even got as much as an apology from that motherf*cker. You know who I’m talking about. I’m not going to give any names. Why would I give him fame? F*ck him! Every time I see him, he runs away. Because he knows what I’d do, but that’s our business.”
