During a special episode of Season 2 of ‘Paranormal Prison,’ Lzzy Hale revealed that she believes a ghost could be haunting her.
In the video, Jose Mangin shared a text message from the Halestorm frontwoman where she said, “So I gotta tell you something. I got all snuggled in my bunk to fall asleep last night, and my blankets kept getting tugged from the outside.”
Lzzy continued, “First I thought my covers were slipping off the the bunk, but I had them pretty anchored. So then I laid my head down again to sleep. It happened again. Where I swore someone was tugging on my blankets. I thought it was Joe f*cking around.”
“So I opened my curtain. But no one was there. Weird. But last night I had a dream or half-asleep conversation with a man called Ricky that hadn’t seen a woman he loves for a long time. I only thought just now that we might have picked up a ghost…” the singer explained.
The four members of Halestorm faced their fears at the Blood Prison inside Ohio State Reformatory, filmed at this year’s Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival.
So far, Robb Flynn of Machine Head, Holy Wars, Mushroomhead, and Shadows Fall have found creepy paranormal activity in different parts of the prison. Loudwire teamed up with Inkcarceration Festival and Danny Wimmer Presents to bring 12 new episodes of ‘Paranormal Prison.’
Halestorm is currently working on their new album. “Well, the beautiful thing about [having a break in the recording], too, is that even just now on this tour, I am, for better or worse, kind of a sponge, and I am absorbing all of these experiences and seeing how they’re actually fitting into the record,” Lzzy said of the songwriting process in August.
She added, “So I’m drafting and redrafting as we’re going, just so I can get back in the studio and be, like, ‘But wait. What about this?’ Because that’s actually what the experience called for. So, yeah, it’s very interesting, but we’ve been taking our time with it because we’ve been having fun doing that.”
Halestorm’s latest album ‘Back from the Dead’ arrived in May 2022. In June 2024, they released a collaborative song named ‘Can U See Me in the Dark?’ with I Prevail.
