Lzzy Hale posted a love letter to her boyfriend on Instagram.
“THANK YOU FOR Making sure I breathe when I get swept up in passion, handing me a tissue for my runny nose, telling me when my breath wreaks and when my shoe creaks, holding my hand when we FROGGER across the street, herding me like a sheep because I’m off in space chasing a song inside my brain,” the Halestorm singer wrote.
She added, “Cleaning up my hot messes, and complimenting me on my pretty dresses, taking the time to read my words and poems, humoring me with my cheesy love songs, laughing til 4 am about floppy boobs and ding dongs, crying in public when you finally understood OUR love song, cheering me on when I stand alone, and being my undying support when we are together.”
“For being the Hand of a Queen, for holding me together when I come apart at the seams, for carrying the weight of my darkness when it was too much for me to carry, for LOVING ME THROUGH MY CRAZY, ZANY AND SCARY. For forgiving me over and over for not knowing how to fix me. Damn it, I love you so f*cking much,” Hale continued in a separate post.
She revealed, “I would not be the woman I am today without your touch. I most likely would have sunk into a slow suicide without your sea blue-green eyes. I think of all the things I’d never know, all the highs and all the lows, all we’ve championed, and all we’ve hurdled all the minions, the fans and their gerbils.”
“All the things I would’ve missed. If we had never kissed. I’m so glad we did. Happy Thanksgiving. Love, Lzzy XX,” the vocalist concluded her public message to her lover.
Lzzy has been in a long-term relationship with Joe Hottinger, her bandmate in Halestorm, and they live in Nashville, Tennessee. Hale Hale explained in 2020 that she and her partner don’t feel the need to get married. She mentioned that while she was offered a ring passed down from her father, she prefers to live in a ‘new modern love’ without the traditional expectations of marriage.
