Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale discussed her recent social media following decline in an interview on Spotify.

“I just lost about 1,500 followers this week because I’ve been putting out poetry. And some of it is dark, some of it is deep,” Hale revealed.

“I have decided to combat the darkness of this world with my pen and not at a podium because you can’t argue with stupid,” she continued. “And once you start preaching like, ‘Woman good, man bad,’ that’s all they hear.”

“Through poetry, I’m able to pierce the veil a little bit,” Hale explained. “I’m giving hope to the people who follow me and want to be here with me in this life.”

“People are like, ‘Nope, screw you!’ And I’m like, ‘You’re reading between the lines. It’s not me, it’s my poetry.’ Their interpretation is their problem, not mine,” she concluded.

The controversy surrounding Hale’s poetry emerges during a period of creative growth for the Halestorm frontwoman.

Recent posts on Hale’s TikTok platform showcase her poems, including ‘BORN AGAIN.’ This piece explores themes of rebirth and past life experiences. Her poem ‘Astronaut’ has also gained traction across various social media platforms.

Blabbermouth reports that Hale is crafting a unique biographical work. The project blends fantasy elements with real stories, using altered names to maintain creative privacy.

Hale’s artistic exploration extends beyond poetry. Halestorm has entered the studio to work on their next album with producer Dave Cobb. This new record will follow their 2022 release ‘Back From The Dead.’

The band recently completed an intimate acoustic tour. ‘Halestorm’s Lzzy And Joe: The Living Room Sessions’ featured Hale and bandmate Joe Hottinger performing stripped-down versions of their songs.
