Guitarist Gus G recently opened up about his unreleased work with the late Ozzy Osbourne. He shared details about their creative collaboration in an interview with The Metal Voice.

The discussion centered around whether any unreleased music exists from their time working together. When asked directly about unreleased material, Gus G provided clarity on their collaborative efforts.

“No. No. We never got to do any. No. We wrote a couple of songs when we were on the road, but we were just like some demos that I did. We never got to record anything properly,” he said.

The guitarist also reflected on the profound impact Ozzy had on his career and the shock of learning about his passing.

“I always consider my life to be pre-Ozzy and post Ozzy, my career, in my life. And it was really shocking for me when I first heard he passed when I first heard the news,” Gus G continued. “Ozzy was the greatest man and I think his legacy and his spirit will live on forever. His music is timeless.”

Gus G’s collaboration with Ozzy represents a significant chapter in both musicians’ careers. It marks a period of creative exploration that unfortunately remained largely unfinished.

The Greek guitarist’s work with Ozzy wasn’t limited to unreleased demos. Ozzy’s official website revealed that Gus G played guitar on Ozzy’s 2010 album Scream. He contributed to tracks like “Diggin’ Me Down” and “Soul Sucker.” This collaboration showcased the guitarist’s ability to blend his technical prowess with Ozzy’s legendary vocal style.

Beyond his work with the Prince of Darkness, Gus G has maintained a successful career leading his own band. The guitarist heads Firewind, which has built an impressive catalog since its formation. Guitar Autopsy reported that the band has released seven studio albums since evolving from his 1998 demo project.

The timing of this revelation adds poignancy to the guitarist’s reflections on their partnership. Bravewords documented Gus G’s emotional response to Ozzy’s passing. This underscores the deep professional and personal connection they shared during their time together.

The interview was conducted during NAMM 2026. Gus G discussed his experiences alongside other notable musicians, providing fans with rare insights into one of metal’s most intriguing creative partnerships.
