Gene Simmons Says He Is A Firm Believer That There Should Be A Vaccination Law
In his interview with Yahoo Entertainment’s Lyndsey Parker, KISS bassist Gene Simmons shared his ideas about COVID-19 precautions and the vaccination process and argued that vaccination should be mandatory for public health during the global pandemic.
Nowadays, many people find it healful to share their thoughts on COVID-19, including its emergence and seriousness. Many also discuss the necessity of the established precautions, such as wearing masks and getting vaccinated. Some people think that the virus is a fabricated biological weapon to decrease the population, while others say otherwise. According to health authorities, people should agree on precautions no matter what they think about the virus.
However, there are many anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers who defend their freedom to choose not to wear masks and get vaccinated. Thus, they have been accused of putting people in danger because of their stance against a global pandemic. As one of them, Gene Simmons has also been criticizing anti-vaxxers through his social media posts.
In one of his previous tweets, he advised everyone to get their vaccines and ignore the conspiracy theorists. Also, in his recent interview, Simmons opened about this issue, saying that there should be a vaccination law to stop the spreading of COVID-19. He added that people shouldn’t have the freedom to choose when it comes to a deadly virus that has been killing thousands of people every day.
Simmons said in his interview that:
“How sad is it that it’s political? When did that happen? I don’t care what party you’re affiliated with or whether you think the election was stolen or not, which is all delusional. The Earth is not flat, and this is really serious stuff. There are people dying because of Governor DeSantis in Florida. It’s really hurting people by not mandating masks.
You know I may not be able to force you to get a vaccine, and by the way, I think it should be a law. You can’t take away my rights but let’s be honest, you can’t drive through a red light. Where is your freedom? You don’t have that freedom. You must wear a seatbelt. ‘I don’t want to! You don’t tell me what to do!’ Actually yes… You will stop at a red light.
There are all kinds of stuff that are mandated and are laws whether you like them or not because it’s not just about you. It’s about other people and simply as a courtesy if people yawn in front of somebody, at least cover their mouths with their hands. You don’t have a right to say whatever I want to say. That’s not true. You’re not allowed to stand up in a movie theater and yell fire because you want to. That’s incitement to riot.
So these idiots, who are complaining about getting COVID shots and not wearing masks, are misunderstanding they do not have the right to hurt other people and because this is a pandemic and because of catches. It’s very catchy and potentially it would be infecting other people which is why I’m a firm believer that this should be law.“
