Gary Holt Reveals That Exodus Will Delay New Album’s Release Due To Cancer Treatment Of Drummer Tom Hunting
Slayer and Exodus guitarist Gary Holt saddened the community by making a new announcement about Exodus drummer Tom Hunting’s recent cancer diagnosis on his official Instagram account.
As you might already know, Gary had been teasing about Exodus’ upcoming album since the last year, and he also revealed that the album is called ‘Persona Non Grata,’ which was planned to be released this year.
However, Gary stated that the release date of this album is delayed because their drummer Tom Hunting diagnosed with cancer last month and will start his treatment.
As Gary revealed the statement that Tom made, he also said that they are delaying the release date until Tom’s treatment is over because he could come back with full strength when they start touring again.
Here is what Gary Holt said:
“Tom starts his first round of chemo today, so I know he will feel the positive vibes being sent his way.
Exodus will delay the release of the new record so that when Tom has defeated this, he will be back to full strength to hit the road and pummel his drums as only he can!
When he has kicked cancer ass like we know he will, we will resume kicking your asses with the sickest record yet! All love and positivity to my brother.”
