With a musical journey spanning nearly four decades, Tesla shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. In a recent interview on SiriusXM’s ‘Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk,’ guitarist Frank Hannon shared insights on the band’s future and the role of lead vocalist Jeff Keith.

Throughout their career, Tesla has experienced its fair share of ups and downs. The band took a six-year hiatus before returning to the music scene with renewed energy and dedication. Since then, they have continued to make music and delight their fans with unforgettable performances.

Speaking to Eddie Trunk, Hannon emphasized that the band’s future hinges on Jeff Keith’s ability to keep singing their songs. He stated that as long as Keith can perform, Tesla will keep going, and they will find ways to help him sing their timeless tracks.

Frank Hannon said the following about Tesla’s future:

“Well, I’ve heard numbers of years being tossed around in conversations with Brian Wheat — like, five years. Who knows? As long as Jeff Keith can sing these songs, we’re gonna continue to do it. And as long as we can find ways to play these songs to help him sing them, we’re gonna keep on going.

I equate what we do kind of like to being a surfer. You ride a wave, and then you end up on the beach. Then you’ve gotta swim out there and catch another wave. Right now, we’re on a really good wave, and we’re gonna keep riding it as far as we can. I don’t see a deadline on this thing… But again, it hinges on the lead vocalist.

According to Hannon, Tesla has no plans for retirement, and fans can look forward to more music from the band. Building on the momentum of their 2019 album ‘Shock,’ Hannon believes they are currently on a good wave, riding it as far as they can. So, as long as Jeff Keith’s voice endures, Tesla’s musical journey will probably continue to rock on.
