Flea Praises Nirvana, Pearl Jam And Guns N’ Roses For Their Opening Act Performances

Red Hot Chili Peppers bass guitarist Flea shared his opinions on Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Guns N’ Roses in a new tweet he posted on his official Twitter account.
Recently on Twitter, the British musician Tim Burgess asked his followers to name the best support band in the world. RHCP bassist Flea was among the Twitter users who replied to Tim’s question. Flea stated that all the bands who opened for Red Hot Chili Peppers could be included in this category.
Even though some of the bands are so big that they only play as the headliners in the shows, they were only rookies when they first started touring and releasing new material. During these periods, these bands started to play as an opener in the big festivals and shows, just to introduce themselves to the community. After years of grinding, they finally became in a position where they should be.
In his recent post, Flea praised these musicians especially those who opened for them. The veteran bass guitarist showed his respect for Guns N’ Roses, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins by naming them some of the best support bands before they blew up.
When asked about the best support band, Flea replied:
“Bands that opened for us before they blew up, Guns N’ Roses, Beastie Boys, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins.”
