Flea Names His Favorite Trumpet Player
Red Hot Chili Peppers bass guitarist Flea revealed his favorite trumpet player by sharing a new post on his official Instagram account.
Yesterday was the birthday of late trumpet player Clifford Brown, and Flea wanted to celebrate this special day on social media. With his recent Instagram post, the bassist paid his respect to the musician and praised his talent.
Clifford Brown is a jazz trumpeter who created iconic songs such as ‘Daahoud,’ ‘Sandu,’ and many more. Unfortunately, he passed away at the age of 25 in 1956 following a car accident. While celebrating Clifford’s birthday, Flea also pointed out that no other musician could bring joy into his heart with their music besides the trumpet icon.
Moreover, the iconic bass guitarist mentioned that Clifford is a beacon of what humans are capable of and revealed that Clifford is his favorite trumpet player of all time. Both RHCP and Brown’s fans appreciated Flea’s kind words and applauded the late trumpeter’s contribution to music history.
Flea on Clifford Brown:
“Happy birthday to Clifford Brown, my favorite trumpet player of all time. No other instrumentalist uplifts my heart with such joy. A beacon of my childhood, of possibility, of what a human is capable of.”
