Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea recently apologized to a fan he yelled at before the band’s performance at Estadio River Plate in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on November 24. He wrote on X:
“To the guy who I yelled at today when I was trying to sneak out of the hotel, I’m sorry. I really thought I could get out peacefully and have a walk.”
The fan shared the sentiment behind approaching an idol in daily life as follows:
“Not s**ttin’ on ya, but us normies don’t have a crazy amount of excitement in our life, and when we do, it’s because we worked our a**es off to be able to afford a week vacation. So, seeing someone we idolize is cool and brings a little bit of excitement in our lives.”
Flea replied:
“I’m normal, too, and I enjoy walking.”
Flea Doesn’t Like Being Approached For Photos

Wanting to have some time for himself, the bassist also made it clear in the past that he didn’t like it when people stopped and asked him for a photo or an autograph.
Last year, a fan explained on X that Flea and Anthony Kiedis had no problem chatting with him and his friends when they approached the two before a show in Seattle. In response, Flea explained:
“It’s because you all generated a kind and gentle light, and you didn’t ask for a Picture. We are always down to talk and chat; asking for a photo ruins it instantly.”
When another fan asked what was wrong with asking for a picture, the bassist said:
“There’s nothing wrong with it. But it ruins having actual conversation. It is a transaction.”
The Band’s Ongoing Tour

Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to perform in Buenos Aires tonight with Irontom and will be playing there again on November 26. After that, their tour moves to Los Angeles in December.
