Erik Grönwall, former Skid Row vocalist, shared a memorable moment from his recent Madrid performance on his Instagram.
The singer made a special appearance with his former band H.E.A.T. He shared the stage with current vocalist Kenny Leckremo in a surprising moment.
“Thank you for an unforgettable night in Madrid. Huge thanks to my brothers H.E.A.T for having me, it meant the world to be part of such a special moment with you all after so many years. Love you guys deeply. Madrid, you were magic as always,” Grönwall expressed.
He added playfully about the unexpected moment: “And Kenny Leckremo thank you for the on-stage makeout opportunity!! Been waiting a long time to stick my tongue down your throat!”
The performance highlighted a reunion between Grönwall and his former bandmates. It showcased the enduring friendship between the current and former H.E.A.T vocalists.
The reunion carries special significance in light of the performers’ shared history with the band.
Records from sources reveal that Kenny Leckremo served as H.E.A.T’s original lead vocalist. He left the band in 2010 due to a serious genetic heart condition. The condition affected his live performances and required surgery in subsequent years.
Grönwall stepped into the role in 2010 after winning Swedish Idol in 2009. Documentation from The Rock Pit shows his significant impact on the band. He contributed to four albums and strengthened H.E.A.T’s position in modern melodic rock. His tenure lasted nearly a decade until October 2020.
A new chapter began when Grönwall joined Skid Row in March 2022. He faced this opportunity while dealing with serious health challenges, including a leukemia diagnosis in March 2021. His official website documents his contribution to “The Gang’s All Here,” Skid Row’s first studio album in sixteen years. He toured with the band until their final show on March 22, 2024.
Grönwall has now recovered and left Skid Row. He plans to release new music and tour with Michael Schenker. His upcoming autobiography will offer insights into his journey through the rock music scene.
