Ex-Mötley Crüe Singer John Corabi Mourns Sylvain Sylvain As He Recalls The Time He Met With Him

Former Mötley Crüe frontman John Corabi posted a picture of recently deceased Sylvain Sylvain of New York Dolls and paid tribute to the rock musician by sharing the story of how they met.

As you may recall, John Corabi became the lead singer of Mötley Crüe between the years 1992 and 1996 when the band parted ways with Vince Neil due to his heavy drinking. During the time of Corabi, Mötley Crüe recorded their self-titled album and the EP ‘Quaternary.’ Later in 1997, Mötley Crüe’s record label refused to release a new album until Vince Neil comes back which led to Corabi’s departure and Neil’s return to the band.

Currently working on his solo album and the upcoming autobiography titled ‘Horseshoes & Hand Grenades,’ both of which are expected to release in 2021, John Corabi has taken his Instagram account to mourn the devastating death of New York Dolls’ Sylvain Sylvain. Corabi posted an old picture of Sylvain and penned an emotional letter addressed to the late music icon.

In the caption of his post, John mentioned that he and Sylvain met a couple of times at The Rock N’ Roll Residency, and apparently, Sylvain displayed his funny, energetic, and kind personality each time. Corabi also stated that he hopes Sylvain to be jamming again with Johnny Thunders, Sylvain’s deceased bandmate, and the rest of his Doll-mates. John ended his tribute by cursing cancer, which caused Sylvain’s death.

Here is how John Corabi paid tribute to Sylvain Sylvain:

“R.I.P. Sylvain… I only met him a few times at The Rock N’ Roll Residency but he was always funny, energetic, and kind!!! I hope you’re jamming again with Johnny and the rest of your Doll-mates….#fuckcancer

As you may know, New York Dolls’ Sylvain Sylvain passed away on January 13, 2021, at the age of 69 almost a year after he publicly announced that he had cancer.
