In a recent interview on The Chuck Shute Podcast, former Lynch Mob singer Oni Logan opened up about money issues in the band. Logan confirmed that, although he and George Lynch had discussed the possibility of recording a new album together in the future, the two musicians have struggled to align their expectations, especially when it comes to the financial arrangements.
“Well, I never was signed on in the first place as a hired gun. [George and I] were always 50-50 in partnership as far as the money and also on a creative level. So that has always remained right from the beginning,” the rocker explained. “That’s why you’ll see me not go out on tour [with Lynch Mob] because that is the deal that we started with and that’s the deal that we normally do when I’m with him.”
He continued, “I understand that he has a need to go out and make it favorable for him, so that’s why we’re probably not working together right now. Well, that is the reason why we’re not working together because he’d rather favor paying some fellas a fee instead of sharing the loot.”
Logan made it clear that this is the main reason they haven’t been able to work together recently. He added that Lynch is making decisions that are more beneficial for himself, making it harder for them to reunite.
Even with these issues, Logan said he is open to working with Lynch in the future. He suggested that they could release new music together under the name ‘Lynch & Logan,’ but only if they can work out the financial problems. He added that if this project happens, it would be a way to celebrate their past and create something new for the fans.
While Lynch Mob continues their farewell tour, Logan made it clear that the money disagreements are the reason he is not involved. It is still uncertain if the two will ever collaborate again, but for now, it seems that money issues are standing in the way of a reunion.
