Former Arch Enemy vocalist Angela Gossow recently sent a supportive message to Alissa White-Gluz following the band’s announcement of a new vocalist, as reported on Instagram.

The message came after Arch Enemy hired Lauren Hart as Alissa’s replacement. Gossow expressed her support for White-Gluz’s upcoming solo career.

“All the best to Alissa! She is gonna kill it with her solo album! Wanted to do it since 2016,” Gossow said. “She has got some great female talent at her side and will leave her mark in the world of metal for sure.”

This supportive gesture highlights the positive relationship between the former and current Arch Enemy vocalists during this transition period for the band.

The announcement marks a significant milestone in Arch Enemy’s history. Lauren Hart becomes the band’s fourth lead singer since their formation in 1995. Loudwire reported that Hart’s debut with the band came through the release of “To the Last Breath.” This marks a new chapter in the Swedish melodic death metal band’s 30-plus-year career.

The recent speculation about Gossow’s potential return to the band had been circulating among fans in recent weeks. However, Louder Sound noted that fans had begun to speculate that Angela Gossow might be returning as vocalist. These rumors were quickly dispelled by the former singer herself.

Gossow has been managing the band since stepping down as vocalist in 2014. She addressed the speculation directly. “It’s not ME! But thank you for all the love! I am really excited to be involved in this new chapter as the manager. This is gonna CRUSH!” she stated, clarifying her continued role behind the scenes.

Arrow Lords of Metal confirmed that Gossow joined Arch Enemy in 2000 and made her debut on the now-classic “Wages Of Sin” album in 2001. She established herself as a pioneering figure in extreme metal vocals before passing the torch to White-Gluz in 2014.

The transition represents another evolution for the Swedish metal veterans. They have consistently maintained their position as one of the leading forces in melodic death metal throughout multiple lineup changes over their three-decade career.
