Europe has announced the release of their new single “Scandinavian Eyes,” taken from their upcoming album “Come This Madness,” as revealed by Europe. The album is set to arrive on September 25 via Silver Lining Music.
The band shared the news of the track’s release along with details of the accompanying performance video, explaining who was behind its creation.
“Friends! It’s finally here, ‘Scandinavian Eyes,’ one of our own favorite tracks from the upcoming album ‘Come This Madness’!” Europe said.
“We thought it was about time to deliver a performance video, created by none other than our dear friend Patric Ullaeus, who also brought you the videos for One on One and The Cult Of Ignorance. Check it out and let us know what you think!” the band continued.
Fans can expect “Come This Madness” to hit shelves on September 25, with “Scandinavian Eyes” serving as the latest preview of the record.
“Scandinavian Eyes” marks the third song the band has unveiled from the upcoming record, following the earlier releases of “One on One” and “The Cult of Ignorance.” Both of those tracks were also accompanied by videos directed by Patric Ullaeus. This makes “Scandinavian Eyes” the third collaboration between the band and the filmmaker for this album cycle alone.
“Come This Madness” stands as Europe’s twelfth studio album and their first new full-length release in nine years. The record was produced by Tom Dalgety, whose credits have made him a sought-after name in the hard rock and metal world.
Notably, the album will feature guest appearances from Tobias Forge of Ghost and Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth. Their involvement adds star power from two of heavy music’s most acclaimed frontmen to the Swedish veterans’ latest effort.
