Eric Clapton’s Daughter Ruth Opens Up About Her Body’s Way Of Processing The Stress And Anxiety

Three-time inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Eric Clapton‘s daughter Ruth Clapton shared a post on her official Instagram page opening up about how lockdown affected her along with all the things that happened within the last few weeks, apparently, her body reacted the stress with giving her styes.

As many of you know, Ruth Clapton shared a post on her official Instagram a month ago announcing that she and her husband, Dean Bartlett decided to get a divorce after a long marriage and two sons, Isaac Eric Owen and Theodore Ivan Bartlett.

Despite the fact that Ruth is known for keeping her personal life private, after the divorce announcement, Ruth shared a few posts on her official Instagram page revealing that the last few months have been difficult for her due to the decision the couple made.

On top of dealing with her family issues, Ruth Clapton had to cope with all of that during lockdowns due to the coronavirus pandemic, and recently, she shared a post on her official Instagram page revealing that she had tyes in both of her eyes as a reaction for all the anxiety and stress.

In addition to this, Ruth stated that she had enough of being in lockdown since the recent one is tougher and more difficult than others after all the changes in her life. Ruth revealed that she missed having something to look forward to other than eating and watching a movie.

Here is what Ruth said:

I’ve had styes in both my eyes for the last 2-3 weeks now and I think it must be my body’s way of processing the stress and anxiety of what we are all going through right now. I truly have had enough of being in lockdown, this one seems so much tougher than the others.

I just really miss having the stuff to look forward to that isn’t related to eating food or watching a movie or going for a walk! I miss seeing my family and friends, I miss my kids seeing their friends, I miss soft play FFS, I miss getting dressed up, planning outfits.

I know we all are going through it and I have so much to be grateful for but I just wanted to be open here and say how I’m actually feeling because then it feels like I’ve handed it over and the weight of it feels lighter. It feels hard because it is. Love and light to you all, we’ll get through it.”
