Eric Clapton’s Daughter Ruth Explains How She Overcame Divorce Process During Lockdown
Legendary guitarist Eric Clapton‘s daughter Ruth Clapton shared a post on her official Instagram stories in which she answered a fan’s question about how she manages to stay positive throughout the hard times she has been going through due to both getting a divorce and lockdowns.
As many of you know, Ruth Clapton had a long and happy marriage with Dean Bartlett and the couple welcomed their first child back in 2013, whom they named Isaac Eric Owen. Three years later, in March 2016, they had another son named Theodore Ivan Bartlett.
Despite the fact that the couple’s relationship seemed picture perfect on Ruth Clapton’s official Instagram page with beautiful family pictures taken during their vacations in addition to their gorgeous couple selfies, Ruth Clapton shared a post a month ago announcing their divorce.
After the heartbreaking news, Ruth Clapton has shared a few posts on her official Instagram page and opened up about how she feels to her fans, apparently, as opposed to going through difficult times, Ruth manages to look forward and stay optimistic, especially for her kids.
Due to the fact that most people would break under these circumstances, a fan asked Ruth during a Q&A session how she remains a positive attitude while there is a lockdown going on due to the coronavirus pandemic, and on top of that, Ruth has been going through a divorce.
Here is what the fan asked:
“Lockdown, divorce, uprooted. How do you get up every day and be positive?”
Ruth Clapton shared the question on her official Instagram stories and replied to that fan by stating that she has support from both her friends and family. Ruth stated that her biggest challenge is to keep her children from being affected by the incidents.
Ruth also revealed that she’s happier than she’s ever been currently, despite experiencing difficult situations thanks to believing in doing whatever she can in order to make herself feel good and remain positive. Apparently, her optimistic attitude comes from her mother which she gets inspiration from.
Here is what Ruth said:
“Honestly, I have the best support around me from my friends and family which helps. The biggest challenge has just been making sure the kids aren’t too affected by it all. In myself, I’m doing really good, happier than I’ve ever been and I have a lot of good stuff going on even though we’re in lockdown and my divorce is blooming! Also, I’m a big believer in doing whatever you can to make yourself feel good, for me that’s exercise and staying connected to my closest mates. If I keep on top of what makes me feel good then I can remain positive. Also, my Mum is super positive and she is a huge inspiration for me, she just always manages to see the good so maybe that’s rubbed off a bit.”
