Eric Clapton Releases His Final Recording With Jeff Beck, ‘Moon River’

Eric Clapton recently took to Instagram to announce a new record. The guitarist revealed an unexpected collaboration with the late Jeff Beck and reminded his fans of the upcoming event related to the musician.

In a subsequent post, The Yardbirds’ former member shared a part of their song, ‘Moon River,’ accompanied by an animated music video. The caption of the footage confirmed that this piece was indeed the final recording made with Beck before his death, which is now released for public listening.

Clapton disclosed further details about this collaboration, as he informed followers about the channels available to access this song. The post also included an announcement of an upcoming tribute show in honor of the late guitarist, featuring notable artists such as Johnny Depp and Ronnie Wood, scheduled for May 22-23.

The early months of 2023 marked the untimely death of Jeff Beck at the age of 78. Numerous musicians, including Jimmy Page and David Gilmour, expressed their grief through public messages, while Clapton announced a tribute show in his friend’s memory in March.
