Before Linkin Park’s shows in Saitama, Japan, Mike Shinoda, Emily Armstrong, and Colin Brittain appeared on the Japanese morning show DayDay on Nippon TV.

They performed a version of ‘The Emptiness Machine’ with piano and acoustic guitar. It was the first time Linkin Park played a ‘From Zero’ song this way. They also joined fun game segments, where Emily touched a crab and Mike hit a host with a plastic hammer.

A user on X shared a small part from the show where we see Armstrong touch a crab without seeing what’s in the box. The user wrote in the caption, “Emily being terrified, Mike laughing his ass off and Colin just standing there like a diva.”

It was a funny moment to watch for the fans. One commented, “Next time Emily and Mike record one of these videos where they kinda interview each other, we need Mike to ask her about this.”

Another person shared, “Her screaming after looking at it in the end, when before that she was bravely touching it is so relatable.”

One other individual also said in their comments, “Love her reaction, im guessing she hates that as much as I do, she’s f*ckin awesome.”

Another user shared a video of Emily’s reaction after seeing it was a crab in the box and wrote, “Emily’s complete reaction to the crab reveal.”

Linkin Park was on Nippon TV before; in 2017, Shinoda and Chester Bennington performed ‘Heavy’ on News Zero. Back then, they also did YouTube and TV promotions. After the Saitama shows, the band will play in Jakarta, then take a two-month break before their big North American tour in 2025.
