Elvis Presley’s Daughter Lisa Marie Passed Away, Billy Corgan Bids Her Farewell

Lisa Marie Presley, singer and songwriter daughter of rock and roll legend Elvis Presley, recently passed away, possibly after a cardiac arrest. Following the sad news, Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan bid Lisa farewell on his Instagram with a touching message.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley told People. “She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time, there will be no further comment.”

Upon hearing the news, Billy Corgan took to his Instagram to express his feelings about Lisa’s loss. “There is heartbreak, and then there is sorrow,” Corgan explained. “This would be sorrow and on more levels than I can count. Please send your prayers out for her family and children at this difficult time. I truly cannot find the words to express how sad this truly is.”

Apart from Billy Corgan, Billy Idol also bid Lisa farewell. “Sad news to hear of Lisa Marie Presley’s passing. She was very loving to me; in Memphis in the ’90s, she gave me a viewing of the private sections of Graceland, which was very special. She was very lovely, and we performed together at NYFW early 2000s. RIP.”

Lisa Marie Presley was the only daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, so she was the sole heir to her father’s estate. Following Elvis’ steps, she pursued a music career and created three albums. Lisa also had duet tracks with her father, which she made using Elvis’ tracks.

On January 12, Lisa suffered cardiac arrest at her home. Her heart was restarted after the paramedics gave her CPR on the way to the hospital. Sadly, Lisa passed away that day at 54, just three weeks before her 55th birthday. Her last public appearance was at the 80th Golden Globe Awards, which she attended with her mother, Priscilla.
