Eddie Van Halen’s birthday was celebrated by many rock stars, but one familiar name was missing.

Bandmates Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony, his son Wolfgang, and many other names like Slash, Alex Skolnick, Gary Holt, Neal Schon and Steve Lukather celebrated the rocker’s birthday. However, his ex-wife Valerie Bertinelli was not among them, even though she had always celebrated his birthday in the past.

In 2022, Bertinelli shared two black-and-white selfies in a now-deleted Instagram post: one with Eddie and another with Wolfgang. She captioned the post with a simple white heart.

Bertinelli was married to Eddie from 1981 until 2007. Even after their divorce, they remained close, with Bertinelli even by his side in his final days, as she shared in her memoir.

In her book ‘Enough Already: Learning to Love the Way I Am Today,’ Bertinelli recalled that the last words Eddie said were “I love you,” to her and Wolfgang. They also repeated those words to him before he passed.

She also reflected on their deep connection. “Some of the last words I said to him [are], you know, ‘Maybe next time. Maybe we’ll get it right next time,'” Bertinelli told Yahoo Entertainment.

As of now, Bertinelli has no pictures of Eddie Van Halen on her Instagram profile.
