Dolly Parton recently spoke to Fox News about her new covers of the two classic Queen songs. The singer created a music video featuring the covers to promote the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
While speaking to Fox News, Parton expressed her love for the Olympics, revealing herself as a huge fan. She said:
“I love the Olympics! I do my best to plan my schedule to watch as much of it as I possibly can. I tape it just in case I miss the live action on a certain day and watch it back as soon as possible.”
She added:
“I laugh, I cry, I scream. There are no losers in the Olympics, as they have all spent a lifetime preparing. But I celebrate with the ones that go away with the gold, silver, and bronze medals.”
The new video includes ‘We Will Rock You’ and ‘We Are The Champions’, and the covers will be included in the singer’s forthcoming album ‘Rockstar.’ Parton’s plan with the covers is to aim to ‘get people excited about next year’s Games in Paris.’
