Disturbed is working on new music in the studio.
“Something’s coming. Link in bio/stories to sign up!” the band wrote on Instagram along with some photos from the studio.
Disturbed is currently making their ninth album in the studio after 2022’s ‘Divisive.’ On July 3 last year, David Draiman posted pictures of himself, guitarist Dan Donegan, and drummer Mike Wengren with producer Drew Fulk. He wrote this caption, “Epic sh*t alert. #ithasbegun.”
Still, later Donegan said in an Instagram livestream that the new Disturbed album wouldn’t be out soon. He explained, “[We’re] kind of working on some material. I can’t really say. There’s no timeframe. I know there was a post earlier of us in the studio and that was just us kind of getting the ball rolling.”
“No planned date, so sorry to burst your bubble. I’m not prematurely getting you too excited about it other than we have some downtime, so it was fun to get together and get creative for a moment,” Donegan continued.
The rocker added, “Things went amazing, but we’re not planning on any release any time soon. It was just an opportunity to get in a room and get creative again. So [I’m] very, very excited about what we’re coming up with, but there’s not gonna be a release this year, let me be clear on that.”
Disturbed will go on a North American tour to celebrate 25 years of ‘The Sickness’ album. They will play two sets at each show: one with the full album and another with their greatest hits.
Three Days Grace with Adam Gontier and Sevendust will open the first half of the tour, while Daughtry and Nothing More will open the second half. The tour starts February 25 in Nampa, Idaho, and ends May 17 in Las Vegas, with 36 stops.
