In a behind-the-scenes episode of Def Leppard’s World Tour on YouTube, Joe Elliott shared that he is handing over his crown of ‘silly naughtiness’ to Tommy Lee after the drummer changed Rock Fest’s name. Elliot talked about his reputation and showed fans Lee’s new name for the festival by saying:

“We’re in Finland, about an hour outside of Helsinki. Now I have a reputation for in the old days; there were large trays with nice bits of decorated sand in them next to the elevators when checking out of hotels. I gave my room key, drawing naughty shapes in the sand. I have just handed over my crown of silly naughtiness to Tommy Lee. This is Tommy’s work; Rock Fest becomes Cock Fest.”

Elliott chose his successor after getting to know him during ‘The Stadium Tour’ in North America last year with Mötley Crüe, and now on their co-headlining world tour that kicked off this year.

Besides giving away his crown to Tommy, Elliott also shared some of the Finnish artists that came to their performance during their set at Rock Fest; he added:

“We had some Finnish guests tonight, and it was great fun to see these people. We had Michael Monroe, ex-Hanoi Rocks, of course, many, many years ago. I first met him in 1984 at The Marquee and also Mikko von Hertzen, and I’m a huge fan of the band the Von Hertzen Brothers; if you’ve never heard of them, look them up.”
