Deezer has announced that AI-generated music now represents a significant portion of daily uploads to its platform. The streaming service revealed unprecedented numbers in a recent report covered by TechCrunch.

The music streaming platform disclosed specific data about the surge in AI-generated content on its service.

“As the only streaming platform in the world transparently tagging AI-generated music, Deezer now reveals that nearly 75,000 AI-tracks are uploaded every day,” the company announced. “Deezer, the global music experiences platform, is now receiving almost 75,000 AI-generated tracks per day, representing roughly 44% of the daily uploads. This amounts to more than 2 Million AI-generated tracks uploaded per month.”

CEO Alexis Lanternier emphasized the significance of this trend and the company’s response to it.

“AI-generated music is now far from a marginal phenomenon and as daily deliveries keep increasing, we hope the whole music ecosystem will join us in taking action to help safeguard artist’s rights and promote transparency for fans,” Lanternier said.

The CEO also highlighted Deezer’s technological approach to managing AI-generated content.

“Thanks to our technology and the proactive measures we put in place more than a year ago, we have shown that it’s possible to reduce AI-related fraud and payment dilution in streaming to a minimum,” he continued. “Since January, we have made our detection technology available for licensing, and we’re looking forward to seeing industry peers of all kinds join us in the fight for fairness in the age of AI.”

The dramatic increase in AI-generated music uploads represents a significant shift in the streaming landscape. Deezer’s data reveals the rapid acceleration of this trend over recent months.

NDTV reported that AI song uploads on Deezer have grown exponentially from 10,000 daily in January 2025 to the current 75,000. This growth followed the launch of its patent-pending detection tool. This seven-fold increase demonstrates the rapid adoption of AI music generation tools by content creators.

Deezer’s detection technology has proven highly effective in identifying AI-generated content. Music Business Worldwide noted that the tool detects 100% of AI-generated music from popular models like Suno and Udio. It has successfully tagged over 13.4 million AI tracks throughout 2025.

Despite the massive volume of AI-generated uploads, these tracks represent a relatively small portion of actual listening activity on the platform. Music Week found that AI-generated music accounts for just 1-3% of Deezer’s total streams. The platform identified 85% of those as fraudulent and subsequently demonetized them.

The announcement underscores the growing impact of artificial intelligence on the music industry and streaming platforms’ efforts to maintain transparency and protect artist rights.
