Dee Snider recently insisted once again that AC/DC should play at the Super Bowl on X, and this time, it seems that he’s got some political power in his corner.
Twisted Sister frontman had previously started a petition for AC/DC to perform at halftime shows, and when a user mentioned to Snider that the time had come for another petition on August 27, the rocker called out to his former collaborators:
“Let me see if I can dig that [the petition] out. Anyone remember who I did that with? They do reach out to me from time to time, but their name slips my mind.”
Then, another user pointed out how Nevada’s governor, Joe Lombardo, also shared the same wish about a possible AC/DC performance for the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII halftime show, and Dee seemed thrilled:
“I was championing this years ago and still do! Let’s hear the songs they play during the games in the NFL Super Bowl halftime show.”
With the governor’s support, a possible AC/DC gig seems more than a simple wish, and only time will tell whether both Lombardo and Snider’s wishes about the upcoming games will come true.
