Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider talked about the success of his solo album, ‘For the Love of Metal,’ during a recent appearance on Lipps Service With Scott Lipps and stated that well-known artists like Taylor Swift and Kanye West were actually surprised by his success on the charts.
As you might already know, Dee released a new solo album back in 2018, named ‘For The Love Of Metal.’ Snider stormed the charts in the United States by becoming the second-best at the Top Hard Music Albums behind Halestorm.
In the conversation, Dee talked about this huge success he had and said that the musicians such as Taylor Swift and Kanye West were pretty shocked because they wouldn’t expect to see him top of the charts.
As Dee mentioned that people had awesome feedbacks on his latest album, he also pointed out that he doesn’t really know what happened, but somehow they like the sound of his music.
Here is what Dee Snider said:
“I’m getting a pretty great response. I broke into the Top 20 with my last album, ‘For The Love Of Metal’, which shocked the hell out of Taylor Swift and Kanye.
‘What’s that old white guy doing up here?’ And I’m, like, ‘I don’t know. I don’t know what happened. But people like the new record.’”
