The Twisted Sister vocalist replied:

“Well, I get her intention… but, good Lord, Madonna doesn’t rock!”

The Controversy At The Madonna Show

The viral incident took place at Madonna’s concert at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, on March 9. During the show, the pop singer, attempting to interact with her audience, pointed into the crowd and loudly questioned why someone was sitting down:

“What are you doing sitting down there? What are you doing sitting down?”

After walking to the edge of the stage and taking a closer look, she retreated, saying:

“Oh, OK. Politically incorrect, sorry about that. I’m glad you’re here.”

Instant Backlash From Fans

The footage spread rapidly across social media platforms, resulting in a wave of backlash. Many people voiced their disappointment with Madonna’s initial reaction, highlighting the insensitivity of her comments.

A TikTok user responded to the video with a string of crying emojis and asked:

“WHAT’S HER ISSUE?”

Further criticism came from those upset that Madonna had called out the attendee in the first place. One comment read:

“Lots of people need to sit down who don’t use wheelchairs, too. This is honestly just gross, ableist behavior. Appreciate that the person purchased a ticket and came to see you!”

So far, the video has received over 2.4 million views on TikTok, where it was first posted. In the middle of ongoing criticism, there has been no response from Madonna regarding the incident.
