Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider has responded to fan questions about a potential band reunion. He suggested that significant anniversary timing and lucrative offers may lead to something special, as shared on X.
The discussion began when a fan asked about previous mentions of “ridiculous” reunion offers that were becoming hard to turn down.
“Mmmm… 2026 is the 50th anniversary of me, Eddie Ojeda and Jay Jay French joining forces,” Snider responded. “Seems like a good time to do something…but what?”
The conversation continued as another fan expressed disappointment about Rock Fest Barcelona potentially missing out on a reunion.
Snider acknowledged the situation directly. He stated his feelings about the festival’s absence from current offers.
“I’ll be honest…amazing offers for TS to return…but not from RockFest Barcelona?!” he said. “We headlined so many times! Spain and Barcelona love us! We love Spain and Barcelona! We love Rock Fest Barcelona! It will be a shame if TS reunites and doesn’t play Barcelona!”
These recent comments build upon Snider’s previous statements about the band’s reunion prospects. They reflect the growing pressure from both fans and industry offers.
Metal Injection reported that Snider has described the reunion offers as becoming “close to impossible to reject.” The surviving band members are engaging in very general discussions about how a reunion might take shape. The increased demand has been driven partly by the wave of retirements and losses among peer bands. This has boosted interest for holdouts like Twisted Sister to return to the stage.
The band has not been completely inactive in recent years. Loudwire noted that Twisted Sister previously reunited in 2023 for a one-off show at the Metal Hall of Fame. This demonstrated that the members are still capable of performing together when the occasion warrants it.
Snider has also indicated that any future performances might serve dual purposes beyond entertainment. Loudwire revealed that he has suggested reunion shows could be used to support causes he believes in, such as political rallies. This underscores his continued activism alongside the band’s musical legacy.
The 2026 anniversary milestone that Snider referenced represents five decades since the core lineup came together. This makes it a particularly significant moment for any potential reunion announcement. The combination of this meaningful date, substantial financial offers, and fan demand appears to be creating the perfect storm for Twisted Sister’s return to active touring.
