David Lee Roth shared a blues song about ‘Forgiveness’ on his official YouTube channel.
In February, DLR released a video called ‘Lavender Forgiveness,’ using Taylor Swift’s ‘Lavender Haze’ with his own lyrics. Fans shared comments on having mixed feelings about the release. Now, he posted a new version called ‘Forgiveness’ without Swift’s track.
The singer’s fans left many comments under the video. One individual wrote, “More of this please, Dave. Would love an album full of these kinds of tunes.”
“I love this vocal, Dave! The song is great, too; an inspiring redemption story wrapped in a rootsy blues package,” another fan said. One other person wrote, “Since Eddie left us, Dave did consider retirement. I am so glad he is pressing on. I really like his new music.”
A fan also added, “DLR you are so cool!! I love hearing you sing the blues!! I love you eternally my favorite singer!! Blessings to you!!” Another one had a request from the rocker as they wrote, “Wish Dave would do a whole album singin’ the blues like this, love it!!”
Roth recently responded to critics with a new song. He first shared ‘Giddy Up’ in 2020 for his comic book series, ‘The Roth Project.’ Later, he released it on YouTube with a video of him riding a bike.
“That was awesome! Really like that tune. Glad to see Dave is out being himself, making great songs in pure Dave fashion,” a fan noted in the comments.
Another person added, “What a beautiful ride!!! Thanks for taking us along, keep enjoying life Dave you deserve it!!” One other fan stated, “Love that Dave always will and always has lived his life to the fullest. A true original! A TRUE rockstar!”
A few days ago from the ‘Giddy Up’ video, Roth shared a video of himself dancing to Busy Signal’s ‘Balloon.’ He used the same song seven months ago in a sepia-toned video. This time, he danced in front of screens showing New York images.
