New members of David Gilmour’s band for his secretive album have been disclosed in his wife, Polly Samson’s recent posts on Instagram.
Samson’s been sharing posts showing Gilmour and other various artists working in the studio for approximately the last year and a half. Included are veteran bassist Guy Pratt, also part of Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, pianist Roger Eno, drummer Adam Betts with past collaborations including Jarvis Cocker, and bassist Tom Herbert from The Invisible and Polar Bear.
Further Collaboration Highlights

Recently, Polly posted a photo of Gilmour alongside producer Charlie Andrew, known for his work with Alt-J, James, Wolf Alice, and London Grammar. She also shared a picture of session musician Steve Gadd, known for his collaboration with Eric Clapton, James Taylor, and Simon & Garfunkel, playing drums in the studio.
Confirmation Of The New Album

In an interview with the Romanian website Ziles Inopti, Samson seemed to affirm the new album’s existence, stating:
“I hope to be back with a new novel as soon as possible. At the moment, I’m working with David Gilmour on new songs. Promising, right?”
The guitarist’s new solo album is planned for release in 2024. It’ll be his next album after 2015’s ‘Rattle That Lock,’ his fourth solo album. He also released a single ‘Yes I Have Ghosts’ in 2020 and a Pink Floyd single ‘Hey Hey, Rise Up’ in 2022. The exact release date for the new album hasn’t been confirmed yet.
Gilmour hasn’t given a complete live concert since his six-night stay at London’s Royal Albert Hall in September 2016.
