Dave Navarro On Inner Turmoil Of Jane’s Addiction: ‘I’ve Learned My Lesson’

In a new interview with Guitar World, Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro discussed his return to the band. He shared his excitement and explained the lesson he learned during his departure:

“I’m just excited. I’m living in the moment right now. We’re having a good time. We’ve broken up like 30 times, so I’ve learned my lesson to be excited about where we’re at. It feels the best it felt in maybe ever.”

He also addressed the inner turmoil of the band:

“The inner turmoil added to the angst and the ferocity onstage. That doesn’t exist anymore, so we’ve moved into this new realm of exploration in sound, which is much more healing.”

Farrell’s Words On Navarro’s Return

In September 2022, Dave Navarro told fans he had been dealing with long-term COVID-19 effects for a while. He announced that Troy Van Leeuwen would fill in for him on the Spirits On Fire tour.

More recently, the rocker rejoined the band even though he is not fully healed yet.

The frontman Perry Farrell shared his thoughts on his bandmate’s return in a post on Instagram. He wrote:

“It’s impossible to try and put this feeling into words, it needs to be felt to be understood. I love my brothers – we have a few tickets left for the European tour.
