Cradle of Filth frontman Dani Filth recently provided an update on the band’s current status and future plans. He addressed their progress following recent lineup changes in an interview with Heavy Interviews.

The discussion centered around the reception of their latest album “The Screaming of the Valkyries” and the band’s ongoing creative process. When asked about the album’s reception and touring plans, Filth shared his enthusiasm about the project’s success.

“Yeah, above and beyond. Screaming of the Valkyries, it’s really tired high. The fans love it. It’s in the next step up in our evolutionary step,” Filth said. “The next record, which obviously we’re writing at the moment, almost finished writing and going to be in the studio in about three weeks. Again takes that to the next level.”

The frontman also reflected on the band’s recent activity and creative output following the pandemic period.

“We’ve had a fantastic few years. Post lockdown, obviously there’s been a lot of catching up to do. This is why we’ve been touring a lot. Why we’ve been very creative,” he continued. “Yeah, I think we’re definitely walking into the right direction. The fans seem to like it and you know that’s all that matters.”

These comments suggest the band remains focused on their musical direction despite the recent departure of members Marek ‘Ashok’ Šmerda and Zoe Marie Federoff and the subsequent legal proceedings.

The band’s confidence appears well-founded. They have secured several high-profile festival appearances and tour dates for the coming year. This busy schedule demonstrates that Cradle of Filth continues to maintain their position in the metal scene despite recent internal challenges.

Chaos Zine reported that Cradle of Filth is set to perform at the Aftershock Festival 2026. The band will join a massive lineup that includes major acts across the metal and rock spectrum. The festival, scheduled for October 2, 2026, represents one of the most significant metal gatherings of the year.

95.7 The Hog noted that the band will also appear at Welcome to Rockville 2026 on May 7 at the Daytona International Speedway. This festival appearance further solidifies their presence in the American metal festival circuit.

The band’s international touring plans extend beyond festival appearances. Blunt Magazine revealed that Cradle of Filth will co-headline an Australian tour with DevilDriver in July 2026. The tour includes stops in Brisbane at The Tivoli on July 9, Sydney at The Enmore on July 10, and Melbourne on July 11. Additional dates are planned for Adelaide and Perth.

These upcoming performances indicate that despite the recent lineup changes and legal issues, Cradle of Filth remains a sought-after live act. The combination of major festival slots and international touring suggests that the band’s fanbase and industry standing remain strong. This supports Filth’s optimistic assessment of their current trajectory.
