Courtney Love Reacts To Nirvana Being Sued By The Baby On ‘Nevermind’ Album Cover
Spencer Elden, the iconic baby on the cover of Nirvana’s legendary album ‘Nevermind’ recently shocked everyone by suing the band and Kurt Cobain’s estates for child pornography. Cobain’s wife Courtney Love reacted to this lawsuit on her Instagram.
As you may know, Spencer Elden, who is now 30 years old, is the baby on the iconic album cover of the album ‘Nevermind.’ The album contains the band’s most known song, ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit,’ which helped Nirvana become a world-renowned grunge band, and the album’s cover has been a hot topic for the past few days.
Spencer Elden had shared remakes of the photo in the years 2001, 2011, and 2016. However, he stated in an interview with Time in 2016 that he was feeling like he didn’t earn as much as he deserved compared to what Nirvana made from selling over 30 million copies worldwide. Recently, he shocked everyone by filing a lawsuit for Nirvana and Kurt Cobain’s estates for child pornography.
Courtney Love shared a photo describing her mood in the caption. She stated that she wrote some songs, and she is feeling empty but relaxed. However, even though she has not been thinking about much lately, the passing of Charlie Watts and the ‘weird lawsuits’ are keeping her mind a bit busy.
Here is her whole caption:
“Prepping to go write with my friend Justin (who also, amongst lots of other wonders, co-wrote ‘video games’ with Lana Del Rey). We’ve written some amazing ones so far together. But I find today I’m… empty… I’m not mad or in love with anyone or anyplace, I desire nothing, I am not anxiously waiting for someone’s call or text or to slip in my back door, I don’t want money.
I look fantastic, I don’t even hate the legal profession in LA county (besides I’ve covered a lot of the above. The First record in 11 years. Every note counts). I’ve got nothing much on my mind. Except for weird lawsuits and the sad passing of Charlie Watts. Maybe Patti Smith will kickstart me?”
In the comments, Love’s fans stated how ridiculous it is for Elden to sue Nirvana at this point. Her fans also showed their support for the singer and advised her to remain calm in these kinds of situations. They also didn’t refrain from adding that they are expecting more songs from her.
