Spiritbox vocalist Courtney LaPlante took immediate action against a disruptive fan at a recent show. The incident was detailed in a statement on X (formerly Twitter).

A concert attendee allegedly attempted to forcefully remove disabled fans from the front barrier of the venue.

“Some guy attempted to push two of my friends with mobility aids off the rail for a photo and tried moving towards another friend after they didn’t move,” a fan reported in their post. “Trying to push anybody off barricade is crazy, but physically and aggressively trying to move visibly disabled folks is insane.”

LaPlante responded swiftly to the situation: “We heard about it, so we had them kicked OUT.”

The incident demonstrates LaPlante’s ongoing commitment to creating safe and inclusive spaces at Spiritbox shows. This stance has become increasingly prominent in her public advocacy.

A recent feature in Kerrang highlighted LaPlante’s vocal stance on accountability in the fight for equality. Her swift action aligns perfectly with these established principles.

The band’s influence in promoting inclusivity has grown alongside their musical success. 105.7 The Point reported that Spiritbox recently achieved their biggest radio hit with “Perfect Soul.” This success has expanded their platform to reach a wider audience.

LaPlante has emerged as a powerful voice for change in the male-dominated metal genre. Impericon Magazine noted her continued advocacy for gender equality. She sets new standards for artist-audience interaction in the metal community.

Safe environments for all concert attendees have become a cornerstone of Spiritbox’s live performances. The band consistently demonstrates zero tolerance for discriminatory behavior.
