Corey Taylor Names The Band He Dreamed To Be A Part Of

Many artists have dream line-ups and bands they would like to be a member of. Although Corey Taylor is now a prominent metal icon with his works in Slipknot and Stone Sour, it seems there was a band he imagined playing together. In a recent interview with the Moon Under Water podcast, Taylor revealed that band and explained why he admires them so much.

During the conversation, the host, John Robins, asked Corey Taylor the album he would want to be played in his pub. “It actually came to me really quickly,” answered Taylor. “It may shock people, but it’s ‘Employment by the Kaiser Chiefs. 100%. It’s one of the top-ten albums that I’ve ever heard. I’ve been a fan since they first came out.”

Corey then recalled when he had a dream about Kaiser Chiefs. “I actually had a strange dream once. Out of nowhere, I was on stage as the guitar player for Kaiser Chiefs. Just the most random, weird dream, and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s awesome!’ Then I woke up and was like, ‘Oh, I’m only in Slipknot. God damn.’ You know, it was a very weird dream. I was not expecting that.”

“It was a brilliant album,” Corey Taylor continued, expressing what ‘Employment’ means to him. “I mean, from the first track, ‘Everyday I Love You Less And Less,’ to the last one. It’s just such a great album. Honestly, it’s one of those albums that you can hear their influences.”

So, Corey Taylor has been a fan of Kaiser Chiefs since the band’s formation. They are one of his favorite bands, and the singer admires their debut album ‘Employment.’ As it appears, Corey Taylor would love to be a member of Kaiser Chiefs, although he is the frontman of one of the most prominent metal acts in the scene. He even dreamt about this once but woke up disappointed.
