New Blondie music is on the way.
The band released their latest album back in 2017, called ‘Pollinator.’ Four years later, they were back with a new song titled ‘Yuletide Throwdown,’ a collaboration with Fab 5 Freddy. Now, they are coming back with more.
In a new interview with Guitar World, guitarist Chris Stein answered the questions about the possibility of new Blondie music. His response was positive:
“Yeah, we definitely have another one in the can. We’re just getting it mixed at the moment; hopefully it will be out at some point in the near future.”
More Details On The Album
In April 2022, Stein shared on Instagram stories that he would be taking a break from touring with Blondie due to a heart condition called Atrial Fibrillation and the fatigue caused by medication. He reassured fans that he was still fully involved in recording and other band projects. The singer Debbie Harry also said that Stein was a ‘major contributer’ to the album.
In an interview with The Times, Harry mentioned that the band has been collaborating with producer John Congleton for their upcoming album. Congleton has previously worked with artists like Lana Del Rey.
Though there are not many details about the album for now, Harry earlier said that they were looking at ten to twelve songs.
