It’s been around a decade since Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow went their separate ways, but the former couple still has plenty of fond memories to look back on. In a recent interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Paltrow opened up about her relationship with the Coldplay frontman, revealing that there was always something special between them.

Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow were married for over 10 years, tying the knot in December 2003. They share two children together, Apple and Moses. Despite their strong bond, Martin and Paltrow decided to ‘consciously uncouple‘ in 2014, a term they coined to describe their amicable separation.

During the podcast, Gwyneth shared how she felt an instant connection when she first met Chris Martin. Although she couldn’t quite express herself, she said she knew there was something different about him compared to her past relationships. The actress even said that she knew Martin was going to be the father of her children due to the strong feeling she had when they first crossed paths.

Here is what Gwyneth Paltrow said about Chris Martin:

“When I met him, there was a very deep thing there. And I couldn’t quite put my finger on it because it felt very different than my other relationships. It’s not so much that the relationship itself turned out to be healthier than my other relationships. It’s just that I think I had this deep calling on some level. I knew he was going to be the father of my kids, maybe or something. It was a very strong feeling.”

Looking back on their relationship, it’s clear that Paltrow and Martin shared a unique and deep connection. Their first meeting took place backstage at a Coldplay concert, as Gwyneth was already a huge fan of the band. As it appears, they are still on good terms to this day.
