During a recent appearance on Anti-Heroes with Zach Blair podcast, Chevelle’s Pete Loeffler hinted at a new single ahead of their tenth album in 2025.

“Yeah yeah, new record soon,” the frontman said when he mentioned the studio process after the host’s new record question.

“I’m gonna send you a song. I’m just a couple days away from doing it because I mean I can send it to you rough if you want to hear it but we’re about to get it mixed,” Loeffler continued.

“I mean we don’t know when but we’re hoping to get a single out there like real soon, like in the next month,” the singer replied when the host asked whether it is okay to tell everyone that Chevelle has a new record coming out.

He added, “Everybody needs to listen for that. If everybody in our team sort of agrees on which one that is and we’re actually in the process of talking to managers again. I think we talked about this before on the phone. We don’t have management. We’ve just been rolling, dude since 21.”

“I think 2020, 21 something like that. We just let everybody go. We have all the other team members. Agents and we just started interviewing some management and that’s hopefully going to be a good thing. We’ll see,” Pete further shared.

In July 2024, Chevelle announced they signed with a new label, Alchemy Recordings, and planned to release their tenth album in September or October. However, they missed both dates.

“We kind of did expect to have it done [already]. It’s like pulling teeth,” Sam Loeffler told TribLive.com earlier this year about the progress of the recording sessions for the new LP. “This is what I described: Writing an album and doing all that is like pulling your hair out and then trying to put it back in.”

He went on to say, “Writers love having written, is what I learned. It’s just torturous on my brother. It’s torturous because there’s just so many factors to making something great. And then the longer you can live with it, the more changes you’re gonna make. So that makes you never want to put it out. You never want to pull the pin and throw the grenade because you’re like, well, it gets better every time I look at it.”

The new album will be a follow-up to 2021’s ‘Niratias.’ The band will perform on May 11, 2025, at the Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival.
