Chester Bennington’s son Jaime Bennington shared new details about the stalker claiming to be possessed by Chester and threatening his family. “So, today, the situation with Quantum Lyricist escalated,” Jaime started his 45-minute Instagram video. “I found out that they’ve been making videos about me.”
Jaime shared that he had reported the stalker and blocked them, but for his own safety, he also contacted the police. “I reported her and I blocked her. I should not have any more problems with this person, but just for my own safety, I did report this to the police. I am currently, and will be submitting evidence of the death threat and the threatening behaviour that has been carried out not just to me but apparently the others because that energy that I was receiving was present through all of the media that I looked through.”
Even after the threats, Jaime emphasized that he did not want anyone to strike back against the individual. “I don’t want anybody attacking this person, I don’t want anybody doing anything necessary. We don’t promote hate, even if what she said was violent, even if what she said was gross, even if what happened was inappropriate or unacceptable. It’s important to remember that everyone’s having a hard time right now.”
Jaime clarified that he was not condoning the stalker’s actions but noted that, after reviewing the media on her page, he saw someone struggling. “I’m not condoning what she did but I will say this after going through the media present on her page, I see somebody who is challenged. I see somebody who may or may not be a victim of a number of things, someone who very clearly did want me to interact with them in a certain way— probably would have been nice for them— and I wasn’t able to.”
He acknowledged that what happened was wrong, which is why he reported it to the authorities. “What happened is not okay, that’s why I reported to the police, that’s why I’m going through the process of getting a protection order.”
Jaime also mentioned that, according to the stalker’s most recent social media post, the person was hospitalized. “According to their most recent story post 6 hours ago, she’s in the hospital, she’s being hospitalized for something. It seems as though she may have had a psychotic episode or been in a psychotic episode. I don’t mean that in a judgemental way.
He further added, “It does seem serious to them, it does seem like they are really going through something. As far as I could see, they believe that they have been poisoned by lithium, they are being attacked by the government. All things that are real things. I’m not saying that lithium poisoning is necessarily real, but we know that the government does some shady stuff.”
Finally, Jaime acknowledged that some of the things the stalker talked about on social media might have been real experiences. “Some of the things they are talking about on social media are real. I am not going to tell you that what they may have gone through isn’t real.”
In his previous statement about the matter, Jaime said that the person reached out to him claiming that they were possessed by Chester, further adding that Chester was proud of domestic violence and that he was transphobic. Jaime explained that the person was threatening him with death while also insulting his wife, just because he ‘didn’t listen to their Soundcloud.’ He added that he doesn’t tolerate violent behavior at any rate.
