Cheap Trick has announced their upcoming album “All Washed Up” along with the release of their first new single. The announcement was shared on Instagram.
The band made the official announcement regarding their new project and its release timeline.
“Preorder the new album ‘All Washed Up’ – featuring the new single ‘Twelve Gates,'” the band stated. “Out Nov. 14th via BMG.”
The album is set to be released through BMG Records on November 14th. Fans can now preorder the collection featuring the newly released single “Twelve Gates.”
This latest release represents another milestone in Cheap Trick’s prolific career. The band continues to deliver new material to their dedicated fanbase.
Consequence reported that “All Washed Up” marks Cheap Trick’s 21st studio album. The record was produced by the band alongside longtime collaborator Julian Raymond. The album was crafted throughout 2024 in Nashville and Los Angeles. Chris Lord-Alge handled the mixing to achieve a polished yet classic rock sound.
The lead single “Twelve Gates” showcases the band’s signature style with psychedelic guitars, pop-rock hooks, and Beatlesque vocal harmonies. Noise11 noted that bassist Tom Petersson describes it as “one of my favorites on the album.” Lead singer Robin Zander calls the new record “just one more great album from the best rock band in the world.”
The 11-track album includes songs such as “All Washed Up,” “The Riff That Won’t Quit,” “Bad Blood,” and “A Long Way to Worcester.” The collection showcases a mix of classic Cheap Trick rock energy and fresh songwriting. Melodic Magazine confirmed that the band continues their extensive 2025 tour schedule alongside the album announcement. The tour includes stops in the U.S. and farewell shows in Japan.
Fans can expect arena dates with Heart and numerous live performances leading up to and following the album release. The band maintains their reputation for energetic live shows that have defined their career for decades.
