Charlie Benante Says Anthrax Is Working On Something Big For This Summer
Anthrax drummer Charlie Benante spoke in a recent interview with Eonmusic and talked about their plans for the 40th anniversary of the band.
In the conversation, Charlie stated that they are planning to do something big for this summer to celebrate the 40th anniversary and mentioned that it will commemorate their career.
While Charlie was saying that they are putting everything together right now, he also pointed out that this special event might be a livestream because of the coronavirus outbreak and lockdown restrictions.
Furthermore, Charlie thrilled the fans by saying that they will play the songs that they have never played before alongside their most hits because they want to make a really special event for this anniversary.
Here is what Charlie Benante said:
“We’re working on something big for June, maybe July, which is going to commemorate our career, and we’re putting that together now. It may be like a livestream type of thing, and it’s going to consist of a lot of songs and a lot of songs that we’ve probably never played before.
We wanted to make something special out of this, but yeah, look out for that announcement. We’re just putting it together now.”
