A health incident during soundcheck at the Majestic Theatre in San Antonio, Texas, led to legendary guitarist Carlos Santana being taken to the hospital for observation.

Michael Vrionis, Santana’s manager, announced: “Santana is postponing his Oneness Tour 2025 show at the Majestic Theatre tonight (Tuesday, April 22, 2025) in San Antonio, Texas.”

“Mr. Santana was at the venue preparing for tonight’s show when he experienced an event that was determined to be dehydration,” Vrionis explained. “Out of an abundance of caution and the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action.”

“He is doing well and is looking forward to coming back to San Antonio soon as well as continuing his US Tour,” Vrionis added. The venue has advised ticket holders to retain their tickets for the rescheduled show.

The legendary guitarist has faced several health-related setbacks in recent years.

MySanAntonio reported a similar incident from July 2022. Santana collapsed on stage during a Michigan performance, also due to heat exhaustion and dehydration.

People Magazine documented another setback from January 2025. A fall resulted in Santana breaking his finger, forcing the postponement of his Las Vegas residency.

The Oneness Tour 2025’s next stop is scheduled for Wednesday in Sugar Land, Texas. Fox 10 Phoenix noted that the status of this upcoming performance remains uncertain due to the current health situation.

Tour management will release updates about rescheduled dates and potential changes to upcoming performances in the following days.
