Bruce Kulick recently addressed speculation from KISS fans regarding a photo that appeared to show him using a cane. He clarified the situation in a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter).

The guitarist took to social media to dispel the concerns. He explained what fans had actually seen in the image.

A KISS fan commented on Bruce’s photo and said, “It looks like Bruce is using a cane. I always thought he would stay young forever, but considering my own age, it makes sense.”

“It’s the railing of the stairs…. NOT a cane!” Kulick responded. “If I had to use a cane, it would be a really rockin’ one, and you would all know more about it.”

A fan had shared a photo of Kulick alongside Tommy Thayer and expressed concern about the guitarist’s apparent use of a mobility aid. Kulick’s lighthearted reply reassured fans while maintaining his characteristic sense of humor about the misunderstanding.

Kulick’s engagement with fans on social media reflects his ongoing connection to the KISS community. This connection remains strong even years after his departure from the band. The former guitarist served as KISS’s lead guitarist from 1984 to 1996 and continues to remain active in the rock music scene while maintaining a strong relationship with the band’s fanbase.

Metal Wani reported that Paul Stanley recently issued a public apology to Kulick at KISS Kruise Vegas 2025. Stanley had overlooked Kulick during a show segment, but later acknowledged his crucial role in KISS history and his key contributions to the band’s diverse era. These contributions include albums like Crazy Nights, Revenge, and Asylum.

Looking ahead, Blabbermouth revealed that Kulick announced plans to work on his autobiography in 2025. In describing the project, Kulick stated: “My journey has value, but I don’t want to write a book to slam people.” The guitarist emphasized that the autobiography will be a positive reflection on his career rather than a sensationalized account. He based this project on materials he has amassed throughout his time in the music industry.

Additionally, Guitar World noted that Kulick recently reflected on the legacy of Ace Frehley following the guitarist’s death in October 2025. Kulick praised Frehley’s distinctive blues-pentatonic style and unique picking technique. He acknowledged how Frehley’s influence shaped his own playing during KISS’s 1980s era, which blended classic guitar styles with modern tools like Floyd Rose tremolos.
