Sadly, the Queen icon Brian May’s social media platforms have recently been hacked. Following that unfortunate incident, the guitarist shared a video on his Instagram to share his feelings and also warn people about the situation.

It might be safe to say that May’s an avid social media user since he enjoys getting in touch with fans all across the globe and sharing what’s been going on with his life. However, the musician’s Twitter and TikTok accounts, as well as personal e-mail, had been recently out of his use due to hacking. So, Brian May took his troubles to Instagram to tell us all about what’s been going down and how he’s feeling.

To no one’s surprise, Brian was visibly upset and shaken while shooting the video as the rocker tried to understand why someone would do this to him. May then briefly discussed how he’d been unable to get into his accounts and how he had wasted time and energy trying to reclaim his social platforms.

So, the guitarist decided to talk about how uncomfortable he felt after seeing that someone had unrightfully accessed his accounts and tried harming him. For May, all he ever wanted to do was to entertain and bring people joy through his music, and now, he felt pretty depressed and disappointed to have witnessed the breaching of his privacy.

The guitarist said the following about what’s been going on in his video:

“Hi folks, this is Brian. Yeah, you’ve probably noticed my hacking episode turned out to be more troublesome than I thought in the beginning. The guy not only hacked my Twitter and TikTok, but he’s also hacked my virgin e-mail. So, I can’t get in there to fix anything, and basically, I wasted the whole day trying to reclaim my stuff without much success, to be honest.

So, I honestly don’t get it. I spent my life trying to earn an honest living, I suppose, and trying to do some good in the world, [and] bring some joy to people. But this guy just wants to spend his day, making my life a misery. So, I don’t really get it. I think it’s kind of sad. But I got some people working on trying to reclaim my stuff. All this made me, I guess, violated; it’s a very uncomfortable feeling that somebody would want to do this to you.”

He continued:

“I don’t understand what I’ve done to him which would make him wanna do this to me. But anyway, I’ve wasted a lot of my time and energy, and it’s kind of depressing. I don’t get it, as they say. Anyway, my message is don’t try to contact me by e-mail, through any virgin address you might have because all you would be doing is communicating with the hacker.

Don’t pay any attention to anything that’s on Twitter or on my TikTok account, which iisrenamed. It’s all rubbish. Please, be careful with your own stuff; put double protection on… double authorization on anything you can.”

Brian May then continued discussing how important it was not to rely on the simple protections any social platform might offer. The guitarist also noted how sad he was to have put his trust in people since he’d never expected that something like this would happen to him.

However, things had been worse than what he had discussed in the video, as he captioned his post stating that the hacker had been trying to trick people into buying cheap laptops by pretending to be him.

His Instagram post’s caption stated:

“Of course, it’s worse than what I’m saying here because the hacker has apparently already been scamming kids with fraudulent offers of cheap laptops, pretending to be me. Be careful out there, folks.”

Thus, it was pretty saddening for Brian to witness that his social platforms had been hacked and used by someone with evil intentions. The hacker pretended to be him and make money by lying to people. However, May noted that he had people working on getting his account back and breaking it free. Still, he was visibly upset and shaken that his trust in people had let him down.
