Poison frontman Bret Michaels recently discussed the possibility of a future Poison tour, addressing speculation about the band’s return in an interview with Q104.3 New York.

Michaels reflected on the band’s 40-year journey and expressed hope for a potential reunion tour in the coming years. He also discussed his current solo work.

“It was, I gotta tell you, 40 awesome years. And honest to God, I hope to God that… I love the Bret Michaels [solo] band. I’m grateful for C.C. [DeVille, Poison guitarist] and Rikki [Rockett, Poison drummer] and Bobby [Dall, Poison bassist] and Poison. And maybe in the next year or two, we put together the most incredible Poison tour as well,” Michaels said.

The frontman emphasized his current focus on solo touring. He left the door open for future band activities.

“But right now, [I am on the road with my solo band as part of the] ‘Live & Amplified’ [tour], and we’re killing it. And we’re just having fun. I’m enjoying every bit of music and just being out there and loving a great time on the road,” he continued.

Michaels’ comments come amid ongoing tensions within the band that have prevented a planned reunion tour from materializing.

The dispute between Michaels and his bandmates became public earlier this year. Fox News reported that Poison drummer Rikki Rockett revealed their milestone 40th anniversary tour planned for 2026 had been canceled. Eddie Trunk noted that the tour was shelved because Michaels reportedly demanded to earn $6 for every dollar his bandmates would receive. This created a significant financial disagreement within the group.

The band’s touring history shows they have maintained a strong presence on the road in recent years. Blabbermouth confirmed that Poison last hit the road in 2022 when they supported Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard on a massive stadium tour. After that tour ended, Michaels shifted his focus to solo shows that heavily featured Poison hits. This allowed him to continue performing the band’s catalog while pursuing his individual career.

The potential future tour Michaels mentioned could serve as a celebration of the band’s legacy, particularly as they approach significant milestones. The timing would coincide with the 41st anniversary of Poison’s 1986 debut album ‘Look What the Cat Dragged In’ in 2027. This album launched the band’s career and established them as major players in the glam metal scene.

Despite the current challenges, Michaels’ recent statements suggest he remains open to reconciliation with his bandmates. His acknowledgment of gratitude toward C.C. DeVille, Rikki Rockett, and Bobby Dall indicates that financial disagreements have created obstacles. However, the door remains open for future collaboration if the band can resolve their differences.
