While the performer list for this year’s Glastonbury Festival is yet to be announced, some artists seem eager to reveal their appearances beforehand. In a recent interview with Foxy Radio, Clem Burke of Blondie mistakenly disclosed the band’s upcoming performance.
Glastonbury Festival’s performer announcement has been a hotly-anticipated occasion each year because the list usually includes the big names from the music industry. Waiting for this year, the fans have rumored different names that could be on the list. While the names included musicians and bands such as Arctic Monkeys and Lewis Capaldi, none of them were officially confirmed except for Elton John and Guns N’ Roses.
Luckily, some performers, like Blondie, exposed information about their appearance at the festival. The band’s drummer, Clem Burke, was answering a question about their summer schedule and what awaited the fans when he said they would perform at Glastonbury. The band will be taking the stage for the third time at the long-awaited festival.
Here is how Burke revealed their appearance:
“We’re also doing Isle of Wight Festival and some other festivals… I guess the full list of artists to be playing Glastonbury hasn’t really been announced yet. But we are going to be playing Glastonbury, so maybe you’ve got an exclusive there.”
The complete list of Glastonbury Festival performers has not yet been shared with the public. Yet, through Clem Burke’s recent statements, we know that Blondie is on the list to perform along with Elton John and Guns N’ Roses. Hopefully, the rest will be announced soon.
