Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker recently purchased one of Ozzy Osbourne’s limited-edition DNA-infused beer cans. He revealed this through his Instagram story.

Last week, Ozzy Osbourne launched a unique collaboration with Liquid Death. He sold beer cans containing samples of his DNA for $450 each. The unusual collectible items quickly sold out among fans and collectors.

Barker confirmed his purchase by sharing the acquisition on his Instagram story. He joined the exclusive group of buyers who managed to secure one of these distinctive memorabilia pieces before they were completely sold out.

The collaboration represents another unconventional marketing approach by the heavy metal legend. It combines his iconic status with collectible merchandise.

This unusual venture builds on Osbourne’s history of creative marketing partnerships. It reflects the growing trend of celebrity-branded collectibles in the music industry.

Liquid Death revealed that the “Infinite Ozzy” collection consisted of 10 empty iced tea cans that Osbourne personally drank from and crushed. This left behind traces of his saliva DNA. Each can was then lab-sealed in a 100% PET recyclable container and signed by Osbourne himself. This created a unique piece of rock memorabilia.

The metal icon embraced the bizarre nature of the project with characteristic humor. Vinyl Me Please reported that Osbourne commented on the unique project, saying “Clone me, you bastards.” He referred to the idea that fans might someday use the DNA to clone him if technology and laws allow it.

This DNA collection follows Osbourne’s previous collaboration with Liquid Death on the ‘Death Dust’ electrolyte drink mix last year. Vinyl Me Please noted this reinforces his taste for creative marketing stunts that blur the lines between music, science, and pop culture.

The rapid sellout of these DNA-infused collectibles highlights the enthusiasm for unusual memorabilia that combines celebrity culture with scientific novelty. The Daily Beast observed that this unique merchandise has drawn parallels to other celebrity product launches this year, such as Sydney Sweeney’s bathwater soap bar. That product also sold out rapidly due to its novelty and fan appeal.
