If a UFO appears in the world, it’s a sign of bad news. Well, that’s what Tom DeLonge thinks. You may have hear that the Blink-182 singer has been known to discuss UFOs and aliens. In a conversation first shared on Reddit a year ago, the rocker claimed that UFOs are bad news and aliens are no good. He also detailed how aliens’ minds work:
“The UFO phenomenon is interested in the bad things and it brings along a lot of bad things. It’s not because we’re gonna come out and say ‘UFOs are real.’ Well guess what? UFOs are bad news. Deal with it, they just are. The UFO phenomenon has a hive mind. These creatures, they potentially don’t have souls, they’re like clones. And they worship their own technology to some degree.”
He continued discussing the ‘race’ and expressed his disbelief at how some individuals hold beliefs that he considers wrong:
“You have shows like ‘Ancient Aliens,’ and every other thing out there that’s coming up with this bizzare ideas that aliens built everything and now people are for lack of a better term worshipping aliens. Aliens built everything, aliens made us, aliens are the Gods, aliens this, aliens that. And I said, ‘That’s what happens when there’s a vacuum.’ And it got filled with something that is no good. So we’re gonna come out of this thinking that aliens are good, and they’re not. At least this one specific race I’m talking about.”
How DeLonge Got Into Space Research

Not wanting to work a 9-5 job and looking for other options to save some money for his family, the rocker got into science when he was young. Ultimately, he has carved out a second career delving into the realm of alien investigations. Notably, he left Blink-182 in 2015 to dedicate himself to the study of aliens. This led to the establishment of To the Stars Academy of Arts & Sciences, a venture involving former government personnel, scientists, aerospace engineers, and creatives.
The organization’s mission, as stated on its website, is to ‘work collectively to allow gifted researchers the freedom to explore exotic science and technologies with the infrastructure and resources to rapidly transition innovative ideas into world-changing products and services.’ A key objective for DeLonge in founding the company was to ensure responsible disclosure of any discoveries to the public.
‘Aliens F*cking Exist’

To the Stars Academy released three declassified videos captured by Navy pilots, showcasing purported UFOs. In 2019, the U.S. military authenticated the footage. On July 2023, the House Oversight subcommittee on national security held hearings on UFOs. Witnesses and whistleblowers, including former intelligence officer David Grusch and ex-Navy pilots David Fravor and Ryan Graves, testified about their encounters with extraterrestrial beings. Hours later, DeLonge shared his reaction on Instagram, accompanied by a photo stating:
“Tom was right, aliens f*cking exist.”
In the caption, he expressed pride in the three witnesses for exposing the UFO secrecy that had persisted for decades. DeLonge hailed Graves, Fravor, and Grusch as heroes and expressed gratitude for the mention during the hearing.
